On my way home from work today I stopped at Little Bill Wilson's land to put out my camera. After walking and scouting a while I finally placed the camera on Mr Miller's feeder.
Mr Miller warned me that people will steal stuff from out there. He had a feeder stolen two years ago. Well I found his stolen feeder! The farmer, no names mentioned on here, took the feeder and threw it into the cane break because he thought it was bringing hogs on his crops....how stupid to believe a feeder attracts hogs to a 60 acres buffet of beans, wheat or whatever he decides to plant. Anyway I called Mr Miller and told him where he could collect his feeder!
I was tempted to just gather the feeder and take to my place...Miller had already written it off as stolen! I couldn't do that though, felt good to hear the elation in his voice when he heard his feeder had been found.
It always better to do what is right!!! I hope my kids learn that lesson early in life.
This was more of a moral blog than hunting, but I thought it needed to be recorded for future reference.
